Why I built CRWN

My hair started thinning in high school, and by my junior year in college, I decided it was time to let it go. Problem was, I didn't really have the confidence to rock it at that time...so I grew it back out.

I was only delaying the inevitable.

In 2018, I went all in on being a bald king, and never looked back. That's where our tagline, "Own Your CRWN," comes from.

After I shaved my head, the question I heard more than anything was, "Do you just use shampoo on your scalp?" That got me thinking.

A bald scalp isn't hair. It's skin. It sweats, gets oily, and faces the elements every day — and most of us are washing it with products built for hair.
